Happy 20th Birthday to the Computer Club which held its first official meeting on Tuesday, September 22nd, 1987. The school had one BBC Master Compact computer and members brought their computers to the meeting. It was an all boys affair and admission was free. Typing (keying) in programs and quick little routines was the order of the day. They did not work most of the time. |

I just had a talk with Iníon Uí Mháirtín and we hope to have the Computer Club back in operation after the midterm break. Keep your fingers crossed.
Ms Finnegan and I also hope to work off the backlog following the loss of use of the lab last term.

The runners-up prize for eTwinning 2007 was a visit to a Professional Development Workshop in a hosting country of my choice.I chose Malta of couse. I will heading off on the 18th and be returning on the 23rd. Baggage restrictions on RyanAir rule out bringing over arts and crafts gifts so if the classes involved in the project want to make a card and sign it that would be great. I will try to contact the school from Malta. |
