Members of the “10.30 Club” will be paying a visit to Halla tomorrow for a cup of tea and a biscuit after ten o’clock Mass. While there they will view all the artwork and read the book reviews. The book fair is also very popular with our visitors.

This year we hope to interview some of the parish senior citizens on how life was when they went to school. It will be interesting to see what books they read and even if they had electic light at night to do their homework.

Last Wednesday the bus arrived to collect all the shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Boys and girls in our school put together presents of toys and clothes in a decorated shoebox. There were 3 age groups’ 2-4, 5-9 and 10-14 years of age. The children were asked to fill boxes for both boys and girls. There was a great response!

Please watch the video for further information or if you want to make a donation

Hello! It’s been so busy recently! We have had a sports day which was a great success. Well done to our girls A team for winning the relay race. Hard luck boys, keep hold of that baton next time! And I can’t forget all the other medal winners, well done to you too!! A week ago our class was chosen to represent the school in the annual k-nex challenge. One Jonathan Hennessey came and asked us to build a quadricycle. It was very difficult as the boot had to hold 500 grams as well as the car having to consist of 2 seats, a steering wheel and various other parts. Sorcha and Ashling won the competition and we are going on to the finals soon. Even more recently, our WOW ( Walk on Wednesday) was a huge success, and nearly everybody walked or cycled. The Minister for Communications,Energy and Natural Resources, Eamon Ryan, was there and gave everyone a handshake at the gate. I didn’t shake his hand though, as I was cycling and sped past him on his bike; ( he was wearing a suit!).

All in all the past few weeks have been absolutely hectic!!
