Last Wednesday the bus arrived to collect all the shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Boys and girls in our school put together presents of toys and clothes in a decorated shoebox. There were 3 age groups’ 2-4, 5-9 and 10-14 years of age. The children were asked to fill boxes for both boys and girls. There was a great response!
Please watch the video for further information or if you want to make a donation
Here are some of our photos on the day the bus came to collect the shoeboxes

Hello! It’s been so busy recently! We have had a sports day which was a great success. Well done to our girls A team for winning the relay race. Hard luck boys, keep hold of that baton next time! And I can’t forget all the other medal winners, well done to you too!! A week ago our class was chosen to represent the school in the annual k-nex challenge. One Jonathan Hennessey came and asked us to build a quadricycle. It was very difficult as the boot had to hold 500 grams as well as the car having to consist of 2 seats, a steering wheel and various other parts. Sorcha and Ashling won the competition and we are going on to the finals soon. Even more recently, our WOW ( Walk on Wednesday) was a huge success, and nearly everybody walked or cycled. The Minister for Communications,Energy and Natural Resources, Eamon Ryan, was there and gave everyone a handshake at the gate. I didn’t shake his hand though, as I was cycling and sped past him on his bike; ( he was wearing a suit!).
All in all the past few weeks have been absolutely hectic!!
