well done to the Junior hurling team on their great victory in croke park over scoil kilternan. The lads did their teachers/principal and parents proud on this historic win.

great result and congrats to principal Inion UiMhairtin and all the staff of St.Attracta’s S.N.S.on their victory in the Bunscoil hurling in Croke Park last monday 24th May 2010.
It turned out to be a cliffhanger with Scoil Thaobh na Coille bouncing back from a 4 points deficit to even things up thus sending the game into extra time.
Teachers Shane Maguire and Barry Fitzgerald decided to push our lads more forward in the hope of gaining a 45 or free and when the opportunity came Ciaran Rafter duly obliged to send the sloithar over the crossbar in front of the St.Attracta’s fanatical crowd(except Mr.Molloy who was looking after the schoool).
The crowd duly went bananas and the team held on in a nailbiting finish to claim the Corn Ui Neil cup which turned out to be as big as captain Brian Smith.
This victory will enter St.Attracta’s folklore for years to come..well done everyone!!

Comhghairdeas to St. Attracta’s Senior School who were recently awarded their fourth Green Flag – this time for travel. With the Junior School, we’ve been walking to school and leaving the cars at home. We’ve had our WOW days and we’ve done our travel projects. But most importantly, we’ve been living the Green Life – reusing and recycling, saving energy and water and recycling as many materials as we possible can. So well done to all the boys and girls, to the whole school community and in particular to Ms. Doyle – our Green Schools’ co-ordinator for all their hard work. Congratulations to the Junior School also! We’ll both be flying our flags high as we make way for a greener country for our children! Slán go fóill agus bí GLAS!!!
