Hello! It’s been so busy recently! We have had a sports day which was a great success. Well done to our girls A team for winning the relay race. Hard luck boys, keep hold of that baton next time! And I can’t forget all the other medal winners, well done to you too!! A week ago our class was chosen to represent the school in the annual k-nex challenge. One Jonathan Hennessey came and asked us to build a quadricycle. It was very difficult as the boot had to hold 500 grams as well as the car having to consist of 2 seats, a steering wheel and various other parts. Sorcha and Ashling won the competition and we are going on to the finals soon. Even more recently, our WOW ( Walk on Wednesday) was a huge success, and nearly everybody walked or cycled. The Minister for Communications,Energy and Natural Resources, Eamon Ryan, was there and gave everyone a handshake at the gate. I didn’t shake his hand though, as I was cycling and sped past him on his bike; ( he was wearing a suit!).
All in all the past few weeks have been absolutely hectic!!

Hi, this week we completed book reviews on our favourite books. We hope you enjoy reading these summaries of our work. Check out the CLASSWORK page under s9.
Hi from Ms Dolan’s 4th class.
We just wanted to tell you all about our school tour, which was last Wednesday the 14th of May. 78 children and 8 adults headed off to Croke Park, in a gust of excitement. We arrived in Croke Park after 10 and were delighted to get to watch a short film called ‘A Sunday in September’. We then divided into two groups. One group went to see the stadium, while the other went to visit the museum. One of the highlights was the tour of the dressing rooms in Croker. From there we ran through the tunnel out to the side of the pitch amid roars, shouts and whistles. It gave us a really good idea of what it must be like for the players to run out on to the pitch on match day. The pitch and the stands looked even bigger in real life, especially from a height. We learned about the history of the stadium here. In the museum we read and heard lots of interesting information about the GAA and we had great craic in the interactive football/hurling section. We enjoyed a well deserved lunch before buying our souveneirs in the Elverys shop. From here we headed to Leisureplex and had a ball playing bowling, quazar and eating snacks. We arrived back to school at about half four, with sore throats after the sing-song on the bus. A great day was had by all! Some phrases used to describe the tour were “fun and exciting”, “best trip ever”, “animal X 10” and “fantastic”.
The Saint Attracta’s Senior and Junior schools’ WoW Day (Walk on Wednesday) is taking place next week on Wednesday of course. Listen to the podcast for details of our Park and Stride locations.
Ally, the Environmental Awareness Officer for GreenSchools, is visiting our school today. Later on Niamh and Patrick from our school will be interviewing Ally for a podcast. We are so happy to talk to Ally and find more about the environment.
Greetings from Mr. Maguire’s class,
We have been very busy over the past few weeks. Last Friday we had our annual Sports Day where our boys team won the relay. Well done to the lads and all those who participated. On Wednesday May 14th, we had our school tour. We visited Croke Park and we learned much about the history of the stadium and about the GAA. Everybody really enjoyed the tour of the largest amateur stadium in the world!! We also went bowling in Tallaght Leisureplex.
At the moment we are working hard on our History projects which are based on finding out about the life of a parent or grandparent. We hope to complete these projects over the coming days.
As part of our Green Schools Campaign, children are walking to school as often as possible. Our class have a walked a total of 493km over the last four weeks! So we are flying fit at the moment!
Slán go fóill,

We had great fun putting the project together.Teacher allowed us to choose our own story from a set of story starters . We chose the story where two children were in a school and were surprised find all of the pupis go missing . We all wrote our stories and collected the best ideas.
