As we head into our Halloween break, we are happy to announce the first Senior Class to win the Golden Boot award. This week it is Ms. Rafter’s 5th class who have beaten the other classes, with 93% of her children walking, cycling or park/striding to school this week. Well done, Ms. Rafter’s class and you can look forward to using your Homework Off Pass after the break!
4th Week on Golden Boot Award
Would you believe it? Ms. Nelly’s 4th Class have won for yet another week running, with a brilliant 94% of her class walking, cycling or walk/striding this week. Andrew and Lauren are very happy to accept the award on behalf of their class. Watch this space next week. Will it be Ms. Nelly’s class again or will somebody else beat them to it?
Our Third week presenting our Golden Boot Award. This week records the highest number of children yet to walk to school, a huge 96.8% of Ms. Nelly’s 4th Class walked or cycled to and from school. This is an amazing number of children and they should be so proud of themselves. Well done everybody and keep up the good work. We are having a Cake Sale this coming Friday, October 10th, 2008 at 10.30 a.m. in the Curriculum Room. Children and parents are invited to bake a cake or a tray of buns and donate them to the sale.
The sale will begin after 10 0’clock Mass and all parents and friends are welcome.
Great news! Mr. Maguire’s 3rd class have won the Golden Boot award for this week. A staggering 86.57% of the children in this class walked or cycled to and from school this week from Mr. Maguire’s class. Our photo shows Heather and Luke holding the Boot and their homework off pass. Now that the weather is becoming a bit wet, remember, put on those wellies and raincoats and keep those cars at home
The computer club is back up and running after the summer break. This year we are continuing with Web 2.0 applcations and we hope to “Put the C into ICT. Check out the club blog here.
The school will close at 12.30 p.m. on Friday, October 10th 2008 to facilitate the monthly staff meeting.
